About the Class
Sgraffito Trivet
You don't need to be able to draw. If you can trace, you can scratch an image into clay!
Start with a tile of white clay with a black glaze on top. Bring your own illustration or picture printed on paper and transpose it into raw clay. Then scratch through the black to reveal the white underneath. It's like pen and ink but backwards!
Any images should be relatively simple, pen and ink or line drawings are easiest to transpose. The trivet starts as 6x6 inches square
Your instructor will fire, glaze and place cork backing on your trivet, and it should be completed within 3 weeks.
